Look for fall repositioning cruises when a cruise line will move a ship  from its summer sailing home base to its winter sailing home base. This may be a little longer cruise but may visit different ports than they do  the rest of the year.

A repositioning cruise can take you across the Atlantic, through the Panama Canal or around the Caribbean.
